Great post. So basically as a pilot I should initially setup pilot.mydomain.com as my first Google Apps domain and set my verification CNAME record in the sub domain?

David

As a point of clarification, you would want to setup mydomain.com as your Google Apps domain name (rather than pilot.mydomain.com) and then use a sub-domain (or it could just be another random domain) to do all the verification and activation services.
